Moreno Spine & Scoliosis offers physical therapy, interventional procedures, and surgery consultation services. Patients of Moreno Spine & Scoliosis may visit any of our locations: an office at Tampa Medical Tower, 2727 West Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Tampa, or our free-standing facility located at the Mease Countryside Hospital campus.
Anthony P. Moreno, MD
Dr. Anthony P. Moreno received his Bachelor's and Medical degrees from the University of Florida, where he graduated with honors. He completed his orthopaedic residency at Jackson Memorial Medical Center/University of Miami. He has also completed a Spine Surgery Fellowship at Hahnemann/Penn. As a board-certified orthopaedic spine surgeon, Dr. Moreno has made presentations at spine surgery meetings around the world, on his own spinal surgical techniques and cases.
Dr. Moreno has been in private practice since 1998 and has completed over 4,000 spinal surgeries, from the most basic to the most complex. He treats a wide variety of spine disorders with techniques such as microdiscectomy, scoliosis corrections, and total disk replacement. Dr. Moreno enjoys basic cervical and lumbar microsurgeries, but also spends a large portion of his practice on complex revision spinal deformities in adults and children. He specializes in scoliosis and kyphosis reconstruction. He is an active fellow for the Scoliosis Research Society and is the Director of the Mease Neuro-Ortho Spine Surgery Center at Mease Countryside Hospital.
Dr. Moreno is an Associate Professor at the University of South Florida Department of Orthopaedics. He is also the orthopaedic spine surgeon for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
He has active privileges at Tampa General Hospital and Mease Countryside Hospital, and consulting privileges at Shriners Hospital for Children in Tampa and St. Joseph's Hospital.
